The big question, then, must be whether the extra 25-30 USD on the HS60’s over the HS50’s, and are they cheap enough to warrant a look over the Void series? Well, to my mind, it’s a very easy ‘yes.’ Admittedly, the extra money spent on gaming…

So, as it stands, I have yet to come across a headset that performs as well as the HS70s, with the lovely lows and the crisp highs. The design of them oozes quality and the attention to detail is second to none. With them being wireless, you’re not confined to the reach of the cable you often get of wired headsets, instead, you can roam the house with little interference (I was listening to music 2 storeys below my PC). Sure they cost a pretty penny, but I honestly think they are worth it.

All in all, we were highly pleased by the performance of the HS70. It produced really great sounds for a wireless unit. The bass was enhanced but it isn’t much that it completely overpowers the sounds; instead, it delivers an excellently light boost for that added rumble. We listened to music and everything sounded great, so we’re definitely giving the Corsair HS70 two thumbs-up for its performance.

Portability, powerful bass and an amazing soundstage rule with Corsair’s latest wireless gaming headset. It’s not without flaws, but as far as sound goes, it might just be as close to gamers’ heaven as you can get.

The Corsair HS70 Wireless Gaming Headset is a great wireless headset that untethers you from your desk and won’t break the bank.

Detail Review:

INTRODUCTION:

Corsair HS60

The design and comfort is good in the headset. The design is not something new but it looks good and can be used as a regular pair of headphones. The sound of the headset is also good enough but the mic sound is just terrible.

Corsair HS70

The design of the headset is a little bit different and good. The comfort level of the headset is also good. The sound of the headset and also the mic is good and the mic sound is like that your team-mates can easily and clearly hear the sound. For gaming and all the casual use, it will work well.

DESIGN:

Corsair HS60

Inside the box, you will get the actual HS60 headset itself has nice pleather memory foam ear cups, cushion band, and it will have an aluminum metallic band on the inside. I think the only plastic on the actual headset itself is going to be the ear cup on the outside itself and the thing holding the band together. Everything else is pretty much metal. So, as far as build quality goes I’m actually quite surprised, it’s very well built and it feels very sturdy. One flaw I noticed right out of the box is the cups of the swivel. They do a little bit swivel but not a whole lot and I don’t like that, that’s a personal preference.

As far as the design of the headset goes, I think it looks pretty sleek and it’s a very simple design, nothing too crazy or fancy and weird. It’s just a nice looking headset overall.

Corsair HS70

The products used in this headphone are high-quality products. The headset build is good and the design of the headset looks nice and sturdy. You don’t worry about the build quality of the headset. The padding and color of the headset and the overall design and rest of everything is very nice in this headset.

COMFORT:

Corsair HS60

It fits rather nicely, it has the oval-shaped ear cups, it fits right over your ears, it’s not on your ears. It doesn’t really feel uncomfortable when you put it on. It does a pretty good job of kind of almost blocking out all the sound from the outside but I still believe that they are open-back headphones because I can still hear sound from outside. Also, I can hear myself pretty clearly.

It is incredibly uncomfortable after a long session of gameplay. After playing multiple matches PUBG, after streaming spider-man for an hour and a half, I wanted to get this out of my head. It is so tight, after a while that it literally starts making my ears sweat and it just starts feeling really annoying like it’s not comfortable.

Corsair HS70

These are made of really high-quality products. The band inside of here is very comfortable on your head. When you put them on your head, they fit very nicely and you can actually wear them for hours on end without feeling fatigued. Something that’s really nice in this is that the ear cups are actually made of memory foam which like your bed you lay in and they adjust to your body. Well, the ear cups are made of memory foam just like that which is pretty cool.

FEATURES:

Corsair HS60

Inside the box with the headset you’re also gonna get the USB dongle. The USB dongle is going to enable the surround sound on PC. The microphone is detachable, whenever you need the mic you can plug in and out.

The headset plugs straight in on its own with the provided cord which is unfortunately attached to the headset. It sounded pretty good. It’s a 4-pole connector, so it’ll do your audio and your microphone and there you don’t need anything special unless you’re using an older Xbox one.

Corsair HS70

They’re made of high-quality steel and all high-quality products. They’re totally made for gaming. They do sound good with music. When you first open up the box, you’re going to see there’s not a whole lot of stuff inside the box. There’s the dongle which inserts into your PC, USB charging cable, the mic cable. All of the controls are located on the backside of the headphones. On the right, you’re gonna see the power button and pairing button and on the left-hand side, you’re gonna see the volume, mute, the power charging and then obviously at the bottom where the microphone goes in.

These are true 2.4 gigahertz wireless, 16 hours of battery life once you charge it that’s a lot of gaming and they can go up to 40 feet. So, if for some reason you want listening to music or whatever and you’re not playing games, you can wander around 40 feet with absolutely no problem.

MICROPHONE:

Corsair HS60

I do like the fact that the microphone is detachable. I can’t stand headsets with the microphones attached to them permanently. The other thing though is one of my main concerns is that there’s no windscreen. The microphone is just like trash. The microphone was probably the second most disappointing thing about this headset.

In gaming headsets you either get great sound quality, great build quality, and a great mic and you have to pick two because you can never have all three. I have never seen all three in a gaming headset before. So, this headset has the great build quality and good sound quality but the mic is not good. The sound of the mic is that much quiet that you can’t hear the sound even a little bit clearly. The sound level of the mic is very low and the mic is almost like not useful.

Corsair HS70

Another thing that I think is really nice is the microphone. Unlike a lot of other microphones, it’s completely removable. So, if you’re not going to be in-game or you’re not going to be talking anybody, you can remove it and if you’re going to be in-game and you want to talk, you just plug it in.

SOUND:

Corsair HS60

I played with the headset for quite a bit, I’ve played a good bit of pub G, bit of spider-man and the sound is good. When you plug in to your PC using this dongle, you can turn on the surround sound and I don’t notice a difference with the sound. But, I noticed a big difference when I plugged it with the mic amp. These are 50 millimeter drivers, so this is a pretty big driver and it’s pretty good.

For gaming this headset sound is good and enough for the price. This is not the true surround sound and it’s like the artificial sound and it doesn’t sound natural in gaming but it will be good for the higher sound like bombing, gun shots, etc,.

Corsair HS70

The drivers inside of them are tuned to 50 millimeter drivers which means they’re gonna bring a lot of bass to the table and in fact, the sound in them is really totally geared for gaming which means that pretty much bass-heavy. The reason for this is when you’re in-game and you’re getting explosions and shots all that stuff, if you have headphones that aren’t tuned for that type of thing you’ll actually get a rattle.

Another nice thing about these headphones, they are 7.1 but their virtual 7.1. If you had a pair of headphones and they were actually true 7.1 headphones, all the rest of the speaker’s would actually be inside of the headphone. So, you’d have your 50-millimeter driver, you’d have your 5.1 and your 7.1 speakers. Now, there are some out there but they’re actually much higher than $99, they’re like in a $239 to $279 range. For a headset that comes into market under $100 having virtual 7.1 is just fine. I mean, when you’re in-game it’s cool to be able to hear somebody walking up totally behind you but how accurate is that stuff really anyways.

This will not totally accurate, how much of a difference are you really going to hear between virtual 7.1 audio and true 7.1 audio that matters and also, these headphones aren’t really geared to be watching movies on your TV because they’re made for your PC.

WHICH TO BUY?

In these competitive headsets I will recommend Corsair HS70 because the mic quality and also the headset sound is good in HS70 whereas the HS60 mic quality is just terrible. For gaming, the mic is also the important one and also the difference between the price of both the headset is not high. So, the HS70 is also wireless and you can use it as regular headphones, so I will choose Corsair HS70.
