Expert Reviews of Jabra Elite 65t:

By Android Central
They sound great and have awesome connectivity for a truly wireless earbud, but it’s the thoughtful touches that push Jabra’s Elite 65t into the legendary status.

By Gadget Speak
For me the clarity was great and yes I could wear them all day something I have not been able to do with other buds.

By TheStreamingBlog
Jabra Elite 65t doesn’t have flashy features that you’ll find from other headphones which is fine since this device doesn’t need too many features as long as it delivers great sound quality. Aside from that, it also has to be comfortable when worn, and it also needs to stay connected to the device paired to it.

By Stuff
Great-sounding wireless buds, for in and out of the gym, but a few usability niggles keep them from being perfect.

By Digit
Alongside being completely free from wires, the Jabra Elite Active 65t is also rated IP56 dust and water-resistant. It also comes loaded with features and brings the promise of good audio and practicality to a segment that is still more gimmick than value-for-money.

Detail Review:

INTRODUCTION:

Jaybird Vista

For retail, they’re gonna run about a $180. They are really pretty good for their price. The build quality and comfort level are awesome. They have some attractive features too like water and earth proof.

Jabra Elite 65t

They retail this for $169. I do feel like they’re worth the money. They do have good build quilty and they are comfortable and have a great fit too into the ears.

DESIGN:

Jaybird Vista

It has a pretty white LED light when it is charging. They look great, I really like that they have a black color, as well as it comes in like some other blue and gray. I’m glad that they have a color selection other than just the Airpods Pros being white and everyone can see them from a mile away. So, with these being a bit more stealthy, with that matte black, and then the case is matte black as well. It does help tremendously.

They call these earth proof, these are our IPX7 waterproofs and I’ve done the test with it I put them in water for a few seconds and they still were playing perfectly fine.

Jabra Elite 65t

The Jabra claims small micro USB charging port, this is actually very tiny, you’re gonna have to charge with your nightstand very close by or something somewhere to where it’s not just hanging because that’s actually pretty small. Then we have the extra earbuds.

The earbuds do come turned on or are charged already, which is nice, and both have LED light indicators showing responsiveness and they’re really small actually. They’re smaller than I thought. I really like this design out of all the true wireless earbuds I’ve been seen.

The Jabra charging port itself or the charging case itself is very minimalistic and I actually like this out of every other charging port I’ve seen. It’s very simple, very light as well. They are not magnetic when you put them in there so they actually fall out easily. That’s a little bit of a problem just because there is much chance that you may miss them because they are not magnetic. So, be very careful about that. Actually it’s a little hard to open the case. I’d really like the design except that’s the one thing as I wish to magnetic, I wish there were more magnetic and stuck in there better.

COMFORT:

Jaybird Vista

You’re also gonna get three different sized ear gels which are gonna be your small, medium, and large. I’d say they feel pretty well in the ear they do stay in. I haven’t had any drop-off problems from running around or working out and I’d love to work out with these. That’s the main reason I got them was that I was afraid that the Airpods are more than likely gonna fall out but here I get that they have a secure fit. But it’s not as secure as that wingtip that you get in the ear.

I’ve switched different sizes for the ear gels mainly because I like the small ones but I also like the ones that they came in the box with which are the medium pair. It also comes with the wingtip so when I’m just falling in around the house it feels like I basically have nothing in my ear. With this one, you feel a little bit more but they’re very lightweight, they fit it to the ear really well.

Jabra Elite 65t

They are not bulky, they’re super lightweight and the buttons the tactlessness and functionality are just super simple. I’m not even going to really feel that when I actually put them on and press on them, it probably won’t hurt my ears too much. The buttons were good, when I had them on my ears either side, it didn’t hurt when I push the buttons, it didn’t make it feel like it was losing the grip of them staying in my ears. I really like the design and very happy with it.

I did the shake tests with these on, I actually shake my head until they fall out, then I was shaking my head pretty hard and they stayed in there pretty good. So, good job on their part.

FEATURES:

Jaybird Vista

One thing that I really love is the app. The app is awesome, without the app I don’t know how these would be because they come out the box flat, but the best part about this is that the customizations that you can do within the app itself. It’s just amazing and it allows you to go literally from the lowest bass to the lows or you can go to the highest highs whatever way you want the headphones sound, the app will do it for you.

These are my first pair of truly wireless headphones, I did have the Jaybird Tarah previously and I thought those sounded great and I decided to go with these rather than the Airpods Pros just because of one the price as well as the fact that they were a little more durable.

In terms of range though they’re gonna range from at least like a 98% coverage. Within the house from me going downstairs it won’t go all the way, it does cut out a little bit, but other than that they sound very good and they have some awesome range to it. They’re not like Airpods Pro where you can just run around the house and go wherever you want to but these are a solid choice.

In terms of customization, I really think that this has probably done the best customizations. Beforehand you couldn’t do like volume up and down as well as doing other tasks. What I like about this is that you can do volume up on one side, volume down on the other side. On top of that, you can also do like Google assistant in one ear and you can do Siri if you have like an apple or something like that.

You can also do like reverse track or play-pause, you can really play around with how you really want these earbuds to work for you. I think that’s what I love the most about what Jaybird did with these pair of earbuds is that they’re meant for you. You get to do whatever you want with them, they allow you to have freedom in terms of customization.

If you lost your earbud, the app also does have “find my buds”, but if you can’t find it the best part is that you can’t go online and purchase like one of these earbuds and then you’re gonna also have to purchase the ear gel for your buds. So, be ready to pay a pretty penny for that one and it runs about sixty dollars for the actual earbud, and then like another maybe like fifteen or twenty just for like the silicon accessory that’s the only problem with that. You might as well go buy the other pair of earbuds and you can even buy a new case with it as well. I find that hard if you lose the case. Other than that I enjoy everything about these headphones.

Jabra Elite 65t

Inside the box, we get the Jabra support line which gives guidelines about how to pair that. Just hold three seconds the button on the right earbud, and left button on the left earbud to power on, and then follow voice instructions to pair your phone, and it looks like they are pretty simple to insert and rotate hopefully. They guide all the controls on how to use and I believe through the Jabra sound app you can actually customize it.

When we go over the Jabra sound app and this is really cool about these types of headphones. At first obviously, just a voice assistant, you’re gonna have on your phone, if you are using iPhone then it will give you Siri, if you are using an android phone then you get google assistant.

The next thing you gonna get to see is the hear through, that is probably my second favorite besides the equalizer part of this app. You can hear, it almost acts like a directional mic when you are using it depending on what you’re facing, that’s where you’re gonna hear the most and it works very well. I’m able to hear not only my own voice obviously but whatever I’m facing which is really good.

Next is the auto-pause and that’s when you take out one of the earbuds the music will stop. I tried this with podcasts and different apps like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube and it’s worked very well on all those. I don’t think it’s gonna be software specific, it’s just the hardware the earbuds themselves that make it work. Then you can also turn the headset off, the voice on or off, if you do turn it off you won’t hear people’s names when they give you a call on caller ID.

I didn’t get any dropouts in connection, thanks to Bluetooth 5.0 and they worked very well. As far as water and dust resistance goes, I have used these on a run, I have used them working out, and have sweated with them on, and I had not faced any functionality problems. When I did sweat if I did take them off and put them back on obviously if water or sweat gets into my ear, after doing that then you lose functionality and grip in it of how well the fit is gonna be beyond that.

The only problems I had with these headphones, I can say are the biggest cons that I experienced so far is sidetone and people getting an echo with that on during a call. So, if you get a phone call and you go into your Jabra sound app and you turn on sidetone, to make sure you’re not talking too loud or whatever. You’re gonna hear yourself pretty well and you can hear the other person well, but the other person kept getting an echo in my experience.

I tried it with a few different people and that’s the only thing that would come up when I would turn sound tone off, they wouldn’t hear the echo in their own voice which is so weird how that happens. Because of that these probably aren’t going to be the best for making phone calls in general. But when I did the sound test they sound good enough, and it just kind of depends. A lot of people say they can hear me very well but with noise canceling.

BATTERY AND ITS LIFE:

Jaybird Vista

They come with a USB type-c cable, they don’t have wireless charging but because of that USB type-c cable, you can get fast charging with them and they can actually charge within the case itself within five minutes.

They’re gonna give you about five hours of charging without the case and then extra ten hours they claim. You can get about five to six hours of playtime and I find that to be true. I’ve listened to about a two-hour movie and then on top of that I did listen to music, just finding different varieties of music, and just listening to different genres for a various amount of time, for honestly over at least two hours, so it stands to be true at the time. I didn’t see any problem and they do charge pretty quickly.

Jabra Elite 65t

The box claims that they have a five-hour battery with the earbuds with up to 15 hours of battery life altogether with the case. They did last about 4 hours and 40 minutes, and then also about 14 and a half hours including the charging case altogether.

SOUND:

Jaybird Vista

When it comes to sound isolation these do a really great job. Even though they don’t have noise cancellation, they provide very well sound coverage and you don’t really hear any outdoor no ways. In terms of call quality, I think I would say it’s pretty decent. They said on the other line that they could hear me perfectly fine.

If you’re in closer proximity, it is gonna be a little bit more muffle because of the interference with the waves and whatnot of the cellphones. Other than that the call quality was good. I definitely would say there’s no problem with it. Overall though there are solid pair of headphones and for this price, I think they’re the best ones that you’re gonna get.

Jabra Elite 65t

The biggest thing I really do want to hit on first is sound quality. Thanks to the equalizer app. The equalizer app got me to actually make the music not just feel like I have to compromise to a certain sound because I listen to all types of genres of music. I was actually pretty shocked by the sound. These things do sound good, the basses get really deep, the volume gets really loud, and I’m hearing clarity. Here you can easily find out where the sound is coming from, from where which instrument is playing.

When we go into the call experience part of the app, the sidetone is pretty awesome. The only problem with that is when I did use it while making a call, the other person on the other line will hear an echo and it would be their own voice they would hear the echo from, which is really weird because I’m not sure why they would do that.

You can enhance or adjust the call audio and the bass, you can also do default. I just did the default, it sounds just fine, I didn’t really notice too much difference besides the obvious on that. If you want to hear the name of the person that is calling you, you can keep the caller ID on.

Going into the music equalizer, this is definitely the best part of the app in my opinion, because with the help of it you can adjust the lows, mids, and highs and the bass too, so that you can get the sound actually how you do want.

The mic technology was really pretty good. You gonna just get pure sound coming through the mics themselves. The passive noise canceling is very good here actually. When I played some background noise from about three feet away from my computer, I have the volume all the way up, so this is an extreme test and hopefully, it does well when I play it back.

The passive noise canceling on them is actually really good, it’s very hard to hear your surroundings even when adding a lot of volumes and I had my computer at 90, so it locked it up pretty well and it was kind of hard to hear.

WHICH TO BUY?

In my opinion, the Jaybird Vista is better than the Jabra Elite 65t because it has better features than the Elite 65t like there are no magnets inside the case in Elite 65t and they don’t have IPX7 rating too. The sound quality is just ok in Elite 65t. But if you want a low budget one then you can go for the Elite 65t. In my opinion, quality is more important than the price, so you should buy Jaybird Vista.
