This is the comparison between the Logitech G233 and the HyperX Cloud Stinger headsets. Both are the cheap basic headset. Both are quite nice considering their price.

This headset is like the entry level headset. This will not give you any extra or special features, even, you can’t expect it by considering their price. Everything in this headset is pretty good.

This headset has all the basic things. The sound and the design and the technology used in it all are just the basic things. This is like the budget friendly cheap headset.

DESIGN:

The G233 is kind of built as an all-in-one kind of headphone. So, it’s built within a lightweight plastic design and the ear cups aligned in Logitech’s G pro sports mesh which is a really firm cushioning, it’s breathable and a little absorb all that kind of sweat.

The design of this headset is very simple and it can be an advantage. I mean, you can also use this headset as for regular use like without the microphone. On the streets and out of the home, it will not be look weird.

We got an all-plastic build, a little bit of metal in the headband which is decent amount of travel on the headband. We’ve got some HyperX branding on the headband, you’ve got the HyperX logo on either side.

COMFORT:

The ear pads in this one is something sports mesh material and it can be easily removed to clean. But, when it comes into comfort this is not that much comfortable. The sport mesh ear pads are something which is itching when the ear pads goes up and sown on your skin. So, overall the ear muffs material are not that much comfortable.

The one thing, the ear cups are large with a large opening which is good, ears sit in there comfortably. They says that it had premium leatherette. The premium leatherette is very comfortable and I haven’t found myself feeling sweaty or hot or anything like that. These are closed back headphones.

They do have nice sort of premium leather padding. They are comfortable and they are light.

You will get the detachable microphone, an inline cord for consoles and PC just like a jack which comes with an on-board little control center just on the cord with a mute microphone and a volume dial. You will get another in line cord with same jack which goes into your mobile phones or kind of smart tablets, it’s got a little mute button for music and an actual microphone.

Now awesome thing with this is that it acts as an all-in-one multi-purpose headset. So, you can plug it into your PC and you can pop it into your ps4 and your Xbox one. The really cool thing is since we’re using a 3.5 millimeter jack and no USB, you can plug it straight into your smartphone or tablet and then when you’re doing this on the street so you don’t look like a freak, you take the headset out because one of the cords has a microphone inclusive of it.

he quality of the build is nice. It does come with an extension Y cable so that you can use that if you’re gonna use them on PC and I recommend using them on PC too. They are a simple great sounding headset. You’ve also got your volume control on the wire.

The things that I don’t like are, they’re a little big and they don’t look quite as big in real life.

MICROPHONE:

The microphone has an inbuilt pop filter there, it’s noise cancelling and it has a nice little bit of bend to it. It sounds really good and crisp. All in all, the mic is pretty good quality. Now, it’s also worth mentioning that the discord approved G233.

You can use this one for gaming and also for web chat. But, for any professional work, I will not recommend this one. Otherwise, this is the good mic for casual use.

Honestly, the microphone is pretty darn, it’s mute when it’s up and you can talk when it’s down. It does have some play to it so you can adjust it but it’s basically if you put it down around along the chin line or jaw line, you’ll be picked up fun and you won’t be breathing straight into the mic. The mic sounds surprisingly good for their price range which is it’s super impressive.

SOUND:

The sound quality of this headset is like its price range. For this price range, it’s pretty good but overall it’s best and not that much good. In this headset, it’s bass punchy. The drivers response to the bass sounds. The high ends and low ends also pretty good. But, in this budget headset you can’t complaint anything. 

For music, this will not be the best not even good. But, you can use it for listening music. So, this is that much worth and it’s not worse choice. But, this one is specially for gaming so keep in mind that when you use this one.

These sound surprisingly good. I actually tested this one by playing battlefield 1 and the Sennheiser PC 373D. These are punching well above their weight in terms of sound. My one complaint and it’s not really complain about gaming, I did listen to a little bit of music with these and the bass was a little heavy and a little bumpy without a lot of definition. But, I don’t think I would really listen to music with these headphones. These are just the cheap gaming headsets for gaming. Once in game that bass sort of went away and everything was tight, everything sounded great.

These are straight stereo but directionality in a game like Battlefield one was great. I really had no problem hearing anything. There are couple other things that I really liked about it. I mean the mic, it does sound good, it really sounds nice.

Now, there’s no side tone so you can’t hear yourself talking but there’s no software in this headphone that’s where you would get the side tone. There’s no software, so you’re just you’re just getting a very simple headset.

One of the problems that you always have with the ps4 is whether or not, you’ll get enough sound from the ps4. If you max out the headphone volume and sometimes you don’t get enough, sometimes you get just enough you never get too much and these will give you just enough.

CONCLUSION:

If you have a very tight budget, you can choose this one. This headset has detachable mic, pretty good sound for gaming and also, you can use it as a regular headphone. So, it’s worth for their price.

HyperX Cloud Stinger

If you’re looking for something that looks premium then these are not in it but they’re clean looking and durable. So that’s really if you’re on a budget what you’re looking for. Overall, I have already figure it out and this don’t have any problem. They sound great in game, the microphone sounds great. They’re pretty comfortable.

They do everything right and they do it at a price that’s right. I mean, if you’re looking for a relatively cheap headset then you can’t go wrong with the HyperX cloud stinger.
