The Logitech G430 has a stellar mic and is comfortable enough to wear for hours on end, but missing software features hold it back.

Logitech have once again proved to us why they are one of the leading peripheral brand of choice today. They certainly know how to please their target consumer and they know how to go with the trend. Certainly like the color theme of the G430 which looks fresh and modern. Certainly not everybody likes blue but the great looks is certainly one of the good selling point for this headset.

Detail Review:

INTRODUCTION:

Logitech G332

The design and color combination of the headset is pretty much attractive. The sound is also pretty good for the price. Everything in this headset is quiet nice, as we can say that this is a good beginner level gaming headset.

Logitech G430

The design and comfort both are good in this headset. The sound is very good for this price, as there are no complaints about the sound of headphone and mic.

DESIGN:

Logitech G332

This is designed with all the plastic with a black and red combination. The design is simple and as looking same as all the model of G series of Logitech. The headset looks solid and like a gaming headset.

Logitech G430

It’s big, it’s built to be a gaming headset. The headset is made full of plastic. Overall the plastic on these headsets is very durable. It’s not the strongest that it could be because around ear-cup you can press the plastic inside and it does this little slight clicking sound but it never feels cheap. I never feel like I’m gonna be scared of breaking this thing.

COMFORT:

Logitech G332

For comfort, the headset features leatherette padding on both the headband as well as the ear cups. The soft cushiony padding is definitely nice for longer play sessions although I will admit that the leatherette material is not quite as breathable as some other headset materials such as mesh or a nylon fabric that do seem to breathe a bit better. In summer months the leatherette padding might be a little bit warmer than other materials could be.

Nevertheless, in my time with the Logitech G332 gaming headset I put in multiple hours long sessions with games like the division 2 as well as a revisit to the elderscrolls 5 Skyrim and definitely did not have any issues with comfort the whole way through.

Logitech G430

For comfort, we got these cushions in the blue and they’re very comfortable. They got the over the ear a cup design which I’ve always favored almost over any other kind of design because the ear buds after a while they really start to bother me on the inside of the ear. Some headsets hurt the flesh of the ear and will not be comfortable if you wear a glass. But, these keep that from happening because of how spongy the cup on the inside is and it’s super comfortable.

The only slight issue is that if you are wearing glasses, they are going to be pinned down. They’re not gonna hurt but they’re still being pinned down with a little bit of force so moving them around it’s gonna move the headset as well. They do have a little bit of a 90 degree swivel, so that they can fit to how your ears are shaped. Then, you got the headband which is made of the really thick plastic.

On the inside of the headband, the another blue cushion on top of the headset which makes the experience of wearing the headset a lot more comfortable.

FEATURES:

Logitech G332

The G332 is a modest budget gaming headset. It features 50 millimeter audio drivers which deliver deep rich sound and full gaming immersion. It also has a large 6 millimeter microphone for clarity and voice chat and clear communication all gaming.

One of its more unique features however are the 90 degree swivel angle on the two ear cups. They move side-to-side on the vertical axis 90 degrees in each direction, this actually adds a little bit of extra comfort when you’re trying to put the headset on to make sure that it rests at the perfect angle on your head.

There’s also a single volume control knob on the left ear cup for on-the-fly volume adjustments. Probably the most surprising feature of the Logitech G332 is its immensely long wired cord. The cord that goes from the headset to the audio jack is much longer than you would normally expect from a wired headset. It actually measures in at 6 feet long.

Logitech G430

This has 7.1 surround sound and I can definitely hear the difference even after trying the G230 for some days. In G430, I can actually hear a few other sounds in the background whether it be with my music or some podcasts like little clicks of the microphone. This can connect to the PlayStation 4.

On the Left cup you’ll get the microphone that comes attached and it’s folded up. You can actually take it and fold it back down, so that when you’re not using it you can flip it out of the way and when you are using it you just rotate it down and it’s made out of this flexible plastic that is able to fold in inter your head. It looks like a traditional gaming headset and you can just take the microphone and flip it up if you’re not using it. Just slightly Bend the mic and it actually stays in place, so that when you start talking it’ll pick up your voice a lot more.

Also, you get the actual wire that leads to your source of audio and one thing that I genuinely love is the fact that it has a yarn coating instead of a rubber coating. The rubber coatings to me have always been prone to being torn and that exposes the wires inside and sometimes that would just cause the wire to bend in a certain way and that will lead to an awful lot of headphones where one side goes out. I feel like your yarn coating is less prone to that happening I feel like I can bend the wire.

This wires are actually pretty long and I know that that’s meant to be for mobility purposes especially if you’re gonna be hooking this up to a console that’s going to be very far from you. You get the little device that is used for both the headphones as well the microphone. We have a switch that pretty much turns the microphone on and off then a little dial on the side that is used to control the volume for your headphones. This would have been a nicer design, flipping the mic up would turn it off. At the bottom of it, we got actually two jacks. we got the headphone jack which is the only one there you’re gonna mainly be using to just listen to audio and then we’ve got the other one that is supposed to plug into whatever source you want there to be a function for microphone.

The G430 comes with a little adapter that allows you to take those two plugs and you can then take the other end which is a USB plug and you can use this in order to not only plug into your PC but also use this to hook up to the ps4.

MICROPHONE:

Logitech G332

The mic is not detachable. But, you can swivel up when you’re not using it. Also, if you put mic up it will get muted and if it’s down, you can use it.

The sound of the mic is very ordinary, you will not use that for podcast, but it will be good for gaming and web chat with your team or friends. It does the job well.

Logitech G430

Basically, it sounds like those microphones that gamers use. Its sole purpose is to just get your voice in there when you’re playing a match of some kind. The accessibility of having it in front of your face, so that it’s sound as clear as possible while at the same time be connected. So, a headset you come to expect it to not sound as great but still gets the job done.

The sound of it is noise cancelling because whenever in my test I do stop talking and sounds like all audio just cuts out and I am able to hear like a very low version of what I’m recording through the microphone.

SOUND:

Logitech G332

I tested the headset on virtually every major gaming platform including Xbox one, PlayStation 4, Nintendo switch, PC, and Mobile, the sound was great across all platforms and I didn’t notice any disparity from one to the next. So, if you’re looking for a headset that performs well across multiple platforms, the G332 is definitely up to the task.

The headset performed admirably, the sound was great and our voice communications were clear and precise. I definitely didn’t have any problems coordinating our attacks and hearing both each other as well as the audio from the game.

Having a quality headset in handheld mode really adds to the gaming experience. Especially, in a game with such amazing music as Tetris 99 or luminous another game I tested extensively with the headset which relies heavily on its excellent soundtrack and immersion between music and gaming. I really can’t imagine playing most of the amazing games in the Nintendo switch library without a quality headset in handheld mode and on that regard, the Logitech G332 performs nicely.

Logitech G430

The size of the cups being a little bigger than usually intended because this is meant to be a gaming headset but I rather take this and having just paid this price range or forge this than to pay 150 to 200 dollars for some beats.

The audio in this in my opinion great. I don’t think, it’s the best necessarily because I will admit that there’s a couple of differences that I can kind of pick up on whenever I do try out those beats by high end headphones but the audio that comes out of this is just perfect. I love the over-the-ear design because it makes me feel like the cups over my ear and I’m listening to the music as if it was coming out of just normal speakers that are surrounding me but it still has to do with the confines of my own head because of the headset.

The actual quality of the sound is pretty good to the right amount of bass, the right amount of trouble as well as the crispiness of some of the sounds that are a little bit lighter. The audio is actually pretty damn good and it’s well worth the money.

CONCLUSION:

Logitech G332

All are some basic features are placed in this headset. It’s worth for the price. If you want a budget headset you can choose this one. The design, comfort, sound all are good enough for the price.

Logitech G430

This has more features and more sound quality and durability at this headset for just $40 and if you are in the market for looking for a good gaming headset or just a great headset to listen to sound period then you can’t go wrong with the headset.
