Detail Review:

INTRODUCTION:

Samsung Galaxy Buds

The Samsung Galaxy Buds are one of the lower-priced in-ear buds available in the market along with wireless charging. These earbuds are retailing for a hundred and thirty dollars. The sound on these is made by AKG. These are one of the small-sized earbuds available in the market that fits perfectly.

Apple Airpods Pro

The Apple Airpods Pro is one of the premium pair of earbuds available in the market. These have a stylish look and pretty good comfort. The Apple Airpods Pro is retailing for two hundred and fifty dollars.

7.3 Samsung Galaxy Buds 1

DESIGN:

Samsung Galaxy Buds

Inside the case, you have right and left Brandon and little LED, another LED on the front of the case, and on the back of the case, there’s your USB-C charging slot. You can use the cable to charge the case up, or by using a wireless charging pad or any of the new Galaxy phone to wirelessly charge your earbuds and case. These are available in three different colors, you get black, white, and yellow. You get six hours of battery life with the buds and an additional seven hours with the charging case. These feature Bluetooth 5.0, you get two mics for ambient sound mode and phone calls. You get an app, so you can tweak all of the settings. You get touch controls and wireless charging, all in at 130 dollars.

Apple Airpods Pro

Apple’s charging case is smooth, small, and easy to handle. It has wireless charging, you can place on a wireless charging pad and charge them off easily. These are IP four rated which means they are water-resistant against splashes, they can’t be sprayed with a jet of water and surely they can’t be submerged. Other competitors out there are actually a little bit better with an IP seven certification you can drop them to a puddle of water they’ll be fine but with these in the Apple Airpods Pro, you can’t do that all.

COMFORT:

Samsung Galaxy Buds

I tried these earbuds in my ears, it’s a nice tight comfortable fit. I did the head shake test, there was no movement and no wiggling at all. You can definitely use these to the gym, they are not falling out. They have a nice sleek minimalistic look. I think black might be the best color if you’re gonna wear these all day at work.

Apple Airpods Pro

The ear tips are providing the seal which is quite unique in these. The ear tips are quite standards pretty born here as silicone but the Airpods Pro has a piece of plastic on the end of the ear tip that literally snaps into the earphones. It’s super easy to swap out and it is secured. The more important thing is these are one of the least intrusive very comfortable designs that I’ve tested among Airpods.

Compared to the Samsung Galaxy Buds, the Airpods Pro are super light and they don’t jam into my ear canal like the Galaxy Buds. These have technically a little bit shorter stem compared to the previous generations. The Airpods Pro does fit into my ears ridiculously well. They don’t fall out from the ears. They don’t feel like the ear tips are solely keeping the earphones in place it just feels like they’re dangling but they are very stable. You can definitely use these for runs and during your workouts.

7.3 Apple Airpods Pro 2

FEATURES:

Samsung Galaxy Buds

Inside the box, you gonna get your charging cable USB Type-C charging cable, you get some different wings and ear tips, and then your Galaxy Buds inside the case. The touchpad has the functionalities like one tap to play or pause the track, double-tap that’ll play the next track or answer and phone calls, triple tap that’ll play the previous track, and touch and holds that’s users choice you can change that in settings but by default is decline calls. For the paring process for the first time you need to go to the Bluetooth in your device and open up the case then the Galaxy Buds will be shown in your device and once you tap that, your earbuds will get paired. Once you pair them up for the first time, you just need to open the case from the next time with the Bluetooth on your mobile and it will get connected automatically.

When you open up Galaxy wearable app, on the top, you get your earbuds, there will be your battery percentage on the left and on the right. After that you get an equalizer, so you can put it on bass boost, soft, dynamic, clear, or treble boost. After that, you get notifications settings for all your applications and you can turn each one on and off if you want and you can have them read aloud. Next to it, you have your touchpad settings, through that, you can lock the touchpad if you want and you can assign the function of left and right. You get the ambient sound mode in the app, you can turn that on and off from the earbuds or from the app. When you turn on ambient sound, you’re gonna get a few more features. You can either lower or increase the ambient sound volume or you can turn on voice focus, which makes the voice stand out more clearly from the ambient sound. After that, you get the find my earbuds function. That’s a nice little feature to find your earbuds.

The call quality on my end was super loud and crystal clear and on the other end, it sounded a little bit of static. Then I walked away a little bit from my phone then the person on the other side said its cleared up and my voice came across super loud. I checked out the lag latency and what I mean by that is when you watch the video is there any delay from the person’s lips to what you hear. There was no lag, so these will be the perfect earbuds for watching movies or youtube videos.

Apple Airpods Pro

The biggest thing about the Pro versions is these are sound isolating compared to the previous generation, compared to the Sennheiser Jabra, Jaybird, etc. The competitors will provide slightly more passive noise isolation than the Airpod Pro but we are getting the new featured active noise canceling.

The stem has a very subtle area for you to press, it’s called the force sensor. One squeeze to pause and play, two squeezes to skip a track, three to go back, and if you hold it down you can actually hear an audio prompt indicating to switch from transparency mode to active noise-canceling and it’s vice versa. The force sensor is somewhat customizable. But when companies do this for truly wireless earphones, there should be volume adjustment features or buttons. You don’t have it in these so you cannot increase or decrease the volume on the earphones. But we do have Siri by which I can ask to lower or raise the volume. I tested out it from Siri, when I call up Siri from the Airpods Pro themselves and it did work, actually I don’t need the phone necessarily nearby, as long as there’s still a connection it’s fine.

Bluetooth 5.0 is featured for signal strength. Testing the signal strength from distance with iPhone 10 and Android Pixel 4XL, both phones were able to achieve a hundred percent coverage. This was also the same with video on both devices, there were zero syncing delays on both Apple and Android devices making video watching. Paring wise indeed these can be paired with multiple devices. Then the connection itself can be switched seamlessly having a signal appeared on the Android at first by my test and then tapping on the iPhone and laptop, the connection simply just jumps over. So, overall I never had Bluetooth issues and the connection has always remained inconsistent.

The transparency mode works great, it sounds very natural, it doesn’t sound amplified and the Airpods pro doesn’t sound artificial as well. Using the force sensor itself you can actually turn it on and off. As far as active noise-canceling, the Airpods Pro canceled out more voices and much more ambient air using the ANC and the Airpods pro was more noticeable especially when listening to podcasts, videos, Netflix, YouTube, etc where there might not be a cast of beat but instead there’s a lot of dialogue. Active noise-canceling doesn’t cancel out everything though but this muffles a lot of coffee shops and restaurant noises. This also cancels out pretty much all air conditioners, fans that are going on, and light breezes.

BATTERY AND ITS LIFE:

Samsung Galaxy Buds

The battery life is 6 hours on one charge, that’s pretty good. You can use the case charge them up for another seven hours. You can charge these up with the USB-C cable and also with a wireless charging pad or even with your lastest mobile that supports the wireless charging mode. This is one of the features I like the most. You can wirelessly charge it from your phone or any wireless charging pad no need to walk around with the cables anymore. This also has a quick charge feature that is 15 minutes of charging will give you around 100 minutes of playtime. You can also use one earbud while the other one is in the case means, you could play music out of either earbud one at a time while the other one is charging in the case. This way you can save your battery life too.

Apple Airpods Pro

Regarding battery life, Apple is claiming up to five hours. Being upfront, this was the average for most truly wireless earphones. But on the low end with many new competitors and even budget brands offering seven, eight, and nine hours worth of battery life granted, they don’t offer active noise-canceling. When I did my battery test with a 50 percent volume, the Airpods Pro got six hours. Their respective charging case can actually achieve up to 24 hours of total playback. Quick charging is available on the Airpods pro with 15 minutes in the case would give you back three hours of listening time.

SOUND:

Samsung Galaxy Buds

I tested out the sound quality with the maximum volume. I tried out all the equalizer settings with all genres of music. I am impressed with the sound quality of these. I wasn’t expecting Sennheiser’s quality but I’m impressed with these. My favorite feature about these earbuds is the sound quality. For 130 dollars is amazing. It has a nice amount of bass. Another thing is a lot of earbuds when you put on bass boots in the equalizer, it sounds exactly the same when you put on trouble boosts. But with the Galaxy Buds, each setting on the EQ is gonna sound totally different. If you like a lot of basses then put it on bass boost this is gonna sound like some $200 earbuds. The sound quality is nice and loud, rich bass, and clean.

Apple Airpods Pro

These can get loud at 65 to 70 percent itself. Actually, the Airpods Pro is definitely better than the previous Airpods because of its seal. The Airpods Pro bass performance is like it sounded good without distortion. For me personally, I wish it was just a little bit deeper. It’s not flat but not boomy too. Hopefully, that gives you kind of a range right there. The mid-range itself is clean. The mid-range is where you hear a lot of instruments and vocal work that’s what the human ear hears and it’s distortion-free. It’s not pushed forward or bright yet not underwhelming either. It’s clearer than the power beats pros and when I mean clean, it doesn’t sound either suppressed or pushed too far forward, it’s very transparent and the vocals cut through right into your ears. In my opinion, the sound stage is what missing a little bit.

7.3 Apple Airpods Pro 3

WHICH TO BUY?

In my opinion, you should buy the Apple Airpods Pro because it sounds better than the Galaxy Buds, the call quality is better than Galaxy Buds, it has better ANC performance and comfort also. But if you have a low budget then you can go for Samsung Galaxy Buds because they do work well at its price range.
