DESIGNS TO COPY
So of course, be inspired by the solution created in this room – an attached bench, which runs along an entire wall – so that the seats in yours are multiplied. One of its modules houses two tufted beanbags, and the central one reduces its height in one of the sections to place two cushions. There it already offers four seats; but if the group is larger, there is still a lot of bench … A plus: the table on wheels can be easily moved. THE FLOOR EXISTS, DO YOU USE IT?
The rooms have a passage area that remains free to make circulation fluid, but its meters can be used to put floor cushions and sit or lie down when you feel like it. It is likely that giving that use to the land may not be part of your customs, but in other countries it is common to take advantage of it. Try to do it, the maxi cushions are the solution to gain extra seats. Also noteworthy in this room is the presence of two floor lamps instead of just one. YOUR ACE ON THE SLEEVE
Together or separately, the occasional tables are 100% versatile. The sets of two, three and up to four pieces, adapt to any changes that arise. SHALL WE LAY OVER?
An L-shaped sofa bed made up of several mattresses on pallets, turns this room into a chill out space for relaxation. In contrast to its rectangular bases, the coffee table and various poufs, all circular in shape, allow for a complete change in the layout. Poufs and cushions on the sofa, from the firm Coco-Mat.
24 HOUR DESIGN
During the day it is a sofa or a chaise longue to be accommodated in different ways thanks to its three mobile backrests, and at night it is a bed simply by removing them. Three details to highlight: the table that it incorporates can be fixed to any of the corners, its upholstery is removable and under its folding seat there is a chest. SET UP YOUR GYM
Adapt a space in the room, with the basics you need, to train. Separated by a screen, the area will be partially hidden from the living room. This industrial-looking design offers a double storage option: baskets and items are hung on the rack – the other side is perfect for pictures, photos and plants – and also offers extra space on the lower canvases. The mirror and a stretching bar have also been included here.
TWO IN ONE FURNITURE
Working at home is already a reality in many homes, but where do you place the table? If we assume that you do not have an extra room, the desk in this room is a solution. Placed between the windows, it is part of a shelf and, when not in use, it goes completely unnoticed because the tabletop and the white leg are hinged, so that the second becomes the front of the furniture. AT TWO HEIGHTS
The open concept houses, with an open plan that integrates various environments, seem more spacious. But by not having partitions, marking the separation of the bedroom often raises many questions. Designing sliding panels is a solution, but it is also possible to create a second higher level and take advantage of the space with a desk, a sideboard or a low bookcase located in the new front that separates both heights. In some projects, a storage space is enabled under the floor of the upper floor.
EUREKA!
If the sofa cannot be placed next to the wall because it blocks the exit to the balcony, you separate it and in the free passage you can fit a desk! Inspiring for other living rooms, this bespoke design features a raised, edgeless wood top that extends and forms part of the shelf. The furniture duo is thus more harmonious.
AT THE BACK THERE IS SITE
Get a shelf without a back to divide the room; let in the light while hiding a space with a guest sofa bed. This new environment can be, on a daily basis, a play area for the little ones in the house. Consider putting wheels on the bookcase, to move it and attach it to the wall. This way you will incorporate the sofa bed into the living room when there are many of you.
YOU ARE BIG, SMALL
In mini rooms, it is time to think of ingenious ideas that optimize the meters. That section of wall that, perhaps, is less than a meter wide, can be turned into a functional corner with the right piece of furniture. Here, it is a shelf with little depth, from floor to ceiling, which takes advantage of the partition, and includes a shelf with a little more depth that serves as a desk.
