Deign
Regarding the design of both watches, the body has remained mostly the same, and that’s still the same square shape. They are slightly different sizes. The GTS 3 is slightly thinner, about a millimeter thinner, but otherwise, it’s almost the same; you won’t notice the difference. It’s also almost the same weight, 0.3 grams lighter, but the GTS 3 does have a 1.75-inch display compared to the GTS 2’s 1.65-inch.
That means the physical size remains the same, but the screen is bigger, which means the screen-to-body ratio of the GTS 3 is better than the GTS 2. So there’s much less of that black border going around.
The only other major difference in the design is that the GTS 3 features a rotatable crown with a little button at the side that you can spin around, which allows you to scroll through menus and stuff like that, almost like an Apple watch.
The GTS 2 did have a crown-like thing or at least this little button that spun around, but it didn’t do anything; you could press it to select things but spinning around didn’t do anything.
Display
The screen resolution of both watches are
- GTS 3 at 390 by 450 pixels.
- GTS 2 at 348 by 442 pixels.
The screen type remains the same,
- They’re both amoled.
- They’re both water resistant to 5ATM.
Sensors
The most recent GTS 3 includes the third version of the amaze fits bio tracker, which enables continuous heart rate monitoring and Sp02. There have also been some slight changes to the sensors. However, it is claimed that this most recent version of bio-tracking technology from amazement is more precise.
However, these wrist-based trackers with the tiny lights on the back haven’t made a noticeable difference in my daily life. No smartwatch will ever be 100 percent accurate; hence they will never be 100 percent accurate. I have noticed that it seems to identify things a little bit more quickly. Other than that, all of the sensors on the GTS 3 are unchanged. It has
- A Accelerometer
- A Geomagnetic sensor
- An Ambient light sensor
A Barometric Altimeter is one of the two enhancements to the GTS 3, which essentially measures your altitude and height.
Features
The GTS 3 has a temperature sensor, according to the official website, but there is no way to use it. I’m not sure if that is indeed the case! On the watch, there isn’t a temperature app or anything else that can use it. Therefore, I presume that might be included in a subsequent version. They both include internal GPS, so you can use them without a phone, which is ideal for tracking your whereabouts and keeping up with your fitness without having to lug around additional devices.
As I’ve been saying, everything has been upgraded, so this is where things start to get a little complicated. The GTS 3 has a better design, screen quality, and a few additional sensors.
However, Amazefit sort of takes away some features. The GTS 3 does not have a speaker where the GTS 2 does. It can’t be used as an external phone; it can’t be used as a wrist-based phone; also, it can’t store or play music natively. The GTS 3 has no internal memory, whereas the GTS 2 has 3 GB. So again, you could upload your music to the watch and play it offline when you weren’t connected to anything in GTS 2. Those are the two features that have been removed from the GTS 3.
Unfortunately, the generation above the previous generation should lose any features. I am aware that some smartwatch users use the speaker, and I am also aware that some users upload music because having it available offline is useful.
The GTS 3 comes with zep’s new operating system for the watch, which is the only significant distinction between the two timepieces. It has been made simpler. It’s much simpler, with fewer menus, and it’s much simpler to access everything you want to see directly from the home screens.
I think it’s an improvement if you don’t know anything about these smartwatches. Well, to sum it up, they’re mid-range fitness trackers. The amaze for GTS 3 with the new operating system has a small app store where third parties can create apps and watch faces.
Battery Life
The battery life, which is probably the last thing to mention but is very significant to the majority of people. I enjoy having a long battery life. Fortunately, this has been improved, as the GTS 2 could last about 7 to 5 days on a full charge with half of the battery saving features turned on, whereas the GTS 3 can last for 12 days.
The GTS 3 lasts me about 8 to 9 days, while the GTS 2 would last me about 5 days because I don’t have all those battery-saving features. Therefore, the increase in battery life is quite impressive.
Price & Conclusion
Despite the fact that the cost of the two watches—the Amazfit GTS 3 and Amazfit GTS 2—remains the same, it can occasionally change. I just showed you some smartwatches, and the only thing that really differs is how the watch is shaped. Depending on which one you favour.
