INTRODUCTION:

Logitech G233

This headset is nice budget friendly headset. All the things in this headset is pretty good. Nothing is bad in this headset considering its price. 

Logitech G231

The design and build is not very attractive but it’s good. The sound and the mic sound is not great but this price range it’s good. This headset can be said as an average headset which will be under budget.

DESIGN:

Logitech G233

This is kind of reminds of the 433 that and it looks really cool. The design is really the same actually. I have to agree, they are really lightweight. It’s like a perfect budget gaming headset. This one reminds me of G433 just by design. I mean, it has everything the same. The cups flip as on the all Logitech headsets. It looks the same as the fabric on the G433 except the outer material which is like a soft plastic.

Logitech G231

The headset has a orange and plastic a gray look. It’s not quite the most attractive headset in the world, however, I do like the fact that it’s got orange accents and gives it a little bit of more personality. I do kind of like the plastic in terms of how light it is but it does sound and kind of creak. So, it does make you worry about its overall build quality in terms of the longevity of it.

Overall, I do like the build quality and design although I do feel it’s a little bit flimsy but I can’t complain all that much given its price tag. It’s pretty much a budget headset, so I don’t expect to have premium materials included nor a premium esque look.

COMFORT:

Logitech G233

For the specifications they says with a comfortable soft touch finish and durable design. G223 gives you quality you can rely on and to stay in the game. This lightweight design and provides unshakable comfort and breathable sports mesh ear pads remove for easy cleaning. So, if you get a bit sweaty or it’s hot in your room or if you don’t have that air conditioning and you just switch them by putting new mesh ear pads.

Logitech G231

The headset is comfortable it can be extended to a reasonable amount around large heads. The drivers due to being 40 millimeter drivers have large ear pads which fit comfortably over my ears.

The pads can also be removed and washed if you so wish. They’re very easy to remove. I didn’t find any problems in terms of wearing them with glasses and given the fact that I’ve got quite good padding at the top. It means that despite its plastic feel, it actually feels very much comfortable on on my head especially for long periods of listening or gaming.

The headset can be adjusted by its headband which is very much simple and it’s got metal assembly which is always good.

FEATURES:

You have the cable here that you use to connect it to your mobile phones, tablets, that kind of stuff. It has both ways of 3.5 millimeter jack to connect to connect it to your mobile and any other mobile stuff. You will get the normal headset wire which is approximately 1.2 metre and you can use this one easily by normally putting in your pocket.

Also, you have the 3.5 millimeter jacks and detachable microphone and this one has the flexibility, the ability to stay in the position that you wish. The connection is very easy, you just place it on your left ear cup. It is very nice and very elegant, you could remove it anywhere you want and that’s the best part of it.

You also have the splitter cable, one is for the microphone and one is for your headset and you connect this huge cable. It’s all on the 3.5 millimeter jack and you ave clip to hook up to your shirt, so it doesn’t flip around while you’re game. On the wire of headset, you have the microphone on or off switch and volume wheel.

This is like a modular headset. It doesn’t have the connection cables until you connected. So, you could just place your cables to a computer do a great cable management and put your headset on stand but that’s the ability to arrange everything as you wish.

Logitech G231

The headset is tolerated by a non removable braided cable, it comes out on the left-hand side. As you go down the cable you’ll be able to see a little control pod as a mic mute button and a volume adjust that’s for the actual headset volume and a little clip for a shirt, it’s very much a handy to have especially at this price point. The cable is actually terminated by a 3.5 millimeter jack which is silver-plated, so no gold plating on either of the jacks but this one connects directly to a mobile. So, it means you can use it with a mobile device or for example like a ps4 of sorts.

Then, you’ve got the PC connections which is mic and line in, so feel free to connect these up to your PC but keep in mind that you will need a sound card in order to better utilize the headset because on-board sound is pretty much a horrendous.

I want to mention one more thing is that playing music through the headset while speaking, you might be able to hear it at a very faint volume especially when anyone talking around you. So, if you do go quiet you will hear music playing through the headset itself but on the plus side, you don’t get any sort of static noise interference with the headset.

MICROPHONE:

The mic is detachable mic, so whenever you want to separate and you can use it as a normal headphone. This one will be a plus because you can use it for gaming and also for casual use and out of your home. This mic is comfortable and sounds good enough. You can use it almost for gaming and web chat and anything like that. 

It’s very cool I can hear myself because it has a great noise cancellation. The microphone has the isolation only for your voice, so the other sound your players your teammates doesn’t don’t hear anything from the other side that’s happening around you.

The microphone can be retracted which is very nice and very handy. It gets all the way into the headset and comes out and it has a sort of a memory esque cable included meaning that you can adjust it for your particularly style of talking.

I feel that it’s nothing too special or nothing to brag. The sound is a little bit muddled but on the plus side, it’s not too boomy. It doesn’t have too many popping sounds as far as my test went. So obviously, the microphone positioning is going to be important in order to avoid getting those popping sounds. So, make sure you experiment with that just a little bit but overall it does a decent recording. It has decent recording quality and a decent job.

SOUND:

Logitech G233

This sounds good for this price range. It’s not the best sound out there but it’s better for this price range. This is quite bassy and punchy in bass sounds. The high ends and also mids are good enough.

There’s also noise cancellation which do their work properly. The noise cancellation will be useful to you and it will let you hear only the sound in the headset by lowering the background noises or in a noisy environment. 

For music, you can listen to music in this headset but this will not be best or better for listening the music. This will reminds you that this was specially made for gaming. 

Logitech G231

With the sound quality, I feel that it does very much reflect this price point is a 50 pound headset, you can’t really expect the world of quality there but nevertheless I was very much impressed. It reminded me of the HyperX stinger headset at its same price point under fifty pounds. It’s one of the best headsets I had heard and this Logitech headset is very much in the same sort of category and same sort of class. I feel that it does a very good job. Despite it being a little bit muddy and a little bit of v-shaped, it’s still given its price point at 50 pounds which is very impressive.

The lows, the sub-base extends to a reasonable amount which is quite surprising at its price point and meaning you would do here nice Rumble when it comes to explosions. The mid-bass is muddled, it’s a little bit overcrowded I wish it was a little bit more precise but nevertheless it has a good impact. So, if you’re gonna hear those massive gunfire shots in games then it’s gonna come out pretty well on the headset.

The mid-bass does leak into the mids meaning it does have a v-shaped sound signature and therefore the mid too do sound a little bit recessed. But nevertheless they are accurate, they’re not over emphasize an avenue any respect or to forward or unbalanced. It does sound accurate but again they are pushed back the hides do extend to a reasonable amount. They do kind of roll off on the top end which is to be expected at the price point but there’s a decent enough of sparkle off with the highs.

I feel that due to its big drivers the sound is actually quite well presented, it does come from different directions. Just like the HyperX stinger, I do feel a little bit claustrophobic and a lit bit closed in terms of sound-stage, even though they have big drivers as well. The sound does come from different places but in terms of accurate positioning you’re not going to find these in headsets that are about 50 pounds.

Unless you look for open back headsets you might get a little bit better positioning in-game but nevertheless for this headset itself, I felt that it sounds they just felt a little bit closed. Nevertheless, you do get a decent width but just lack that sort of depth in a sound-stage. So, in terms of overall sound quality given its price point, I think it does a very good job especially given though given the fact that it’s a 50 pound headset.

CONCLUSION:

This one is nice designed with blue pads, the whole plastic is nice matte black. For the design its just awesome. The whole headset is just good to buy. If you’re looking for a budget or not that expensive headset, you can’t go wrong with this one.

This have a nice color, nice shape, and everything and the microphone is detachable, the cables are detachable and you can’t use them without the cables but there’s nothing actually wrong about them.

Overall, everything is good enough for this price point. For this price range, every features in this headset is a good one and will be a plus. Overall, it is a budget friendly headset which worth to buy.
