This is the review of the comparison between the two headphones from two popular brands. The comparison here is between the Sennheiser GSP 370 and Logitech G935. Obviously, the difference is there in their price range which makes the difference in their features and performance but there are many headphones in the market that performs their function very well even at a lower price. INTRODUCTION:

Sennheiser GSP 370

Sennheiser wanted to make a wireless headset specifically for gaming removing some of the functionality of the 670 and that’s how they made the GSP 370. The main thing they removed was the Bluetooth functionality and they made them a physically lighter headset. This headphone is retailing for around a hundred and sixty-eight dollars currently on Amazon.

Logitech G935

The Logitech G935 is a wireless 7.1 surround sound headphone with built-in microphone and they’ve got that RGB as well. This headphone is retailing for around a hundred and thirty dollars on Amazon which is quite budget-friendly. This headphone sounds really good at this price range.

DESIGN:

Sennheiser GSP 370

On the left ear cup, there’s a microUSB connector for charging and updating the firmware, and I’ll switch for turning the headset on and a boom arm microphone. On the right ear cup, it’s got the master volume dial which is different to the GSP 670, it’s got tactile steps and it will spin infinitely. The build quality is decent, it’s not amazing, they have fully adjustable headband, the earcups themselves they don’t rotate like many other gaming headsets but they do have some lateral movement and they can adjust to the shape of your head.

They include little macro buttons on the back of the headphones which you can program to do different things like turn the surround sound, on or off, or maybe change your eq profile you can program them to do, and they do have a microphone mute button as well which is I guess handy, you can easily just flip it up as well to mute the mic. Then they do have a little audio dial, so you can control the volume from the back of the headphones, and then you’ve got an on and off switch. Something that I did notice is that when you’re not using them and there’s no audio coming from the PC or your console, they will go to sleep. So, they will go to sleep and save you the battery life but it wasn’t all the time sometimes I found that.

As far as the button controls, they were kind of hard to tell which one I was pressing, they do make them different angles to try and help you with the feeling but maybe what they should have done is put like a little bump on the back of each button so that way you could actually feel and tell which one you were actually pressing. The microphone is a six millimeter cardioid microphone which is undirectional, so you can flip that microphone down and then you can sort of pull it out and bend it around. If you want to mute the microphone or if you’ve got your own maybe standard USB dedicated microphone that you’re gonna use instead, you can actually flip that microphone up and it’s almost completely hidden.

COMFORT:

Sennheiser GSP 370

This headset weighs 285 grams and to be honest when you got to wear this headset on, you forget you’re wearing a headset. So, in terms of weight it is really comfortable. The ear cups on this do swivel a little bit that helps you in fitting the headphone on your head without paining your jaw-line. The headphone does gets extended with the marks, so you can adjust it as per the size of your head. So, with the help of extendable headband and swivel system in the ear cups, you can get the perfect fit out of this headphone. But this do get little warm when you wear these for a longer period of time.

The drivers on each of the ear cups are 50-millimeters in size, so I believe that’s a bit of an upgrade. You can swivel the ear cups, so you can get them out of the way when you’re not wearing them but you can also adjust the size of the headphones just to make it as comfortable as possible for yourself. The ear cups they sort of come with a pure leather, so they are soft and I guess quite comfortable from my testing at least anyway. After a few hours so you might find that do sort of get a little bit warm but your mileage may vary. They are somewhat comfortable it’s kind of a weird thing because I found them comfortable for maybe half an hour but then after an hour I start to get a bit fidgety and I start to move them around to try and find a new comfortable position.

Sennheiser has been one of the strongest brands and the audiophile music businesses for many years and in the last few years they started to add to their lineup by creating products for the gaming market and not only that they’ve kind of split their gaming products into a sub round which is specifically for their gaming and their enterprise lineup. In the last few years they’ve really started to focus on bringing those gaming centric products to the market and that’s where the GSP 370 wireless gaming headset comes in.

In the box, you obviously get the headset itself, and they’re a lot lighter than the GSP 670 which is really nice, include some documentation and all of that standard stuff, it also includes a USB Type-A to micro USB cable for charging and updating the firmware, and a tiny little USB dongle to connect the headset to your PC or your PS4. The GSP 370 is also compatible with the PS4 but it is not compatible with the Xbox One.

As far as the stereo separation, it is about as you’d get with any other high-end headphones although, it’s still not quite as wide as the GSP 670. When listening to music, you can hear everything in the mix in its own space on the soundstage, nothing interferes with anything else, and it sounds like it should. They do the same amount of separation as the GSP 670 but it’s so close and most people will never be able to hear the difference. The positional audio is awesome, clear even when played like five hours. You can basically hear where like every headcrabs coming from, and like where those quiet little combine voice chatters coming from for like a mile away. The GSP 370’s are really good for gaming and they’re actually better than I expected.

The software is pretty okay and it’s very easy to use, it’s got everything you need, it’s got nothing you don’t, and it’s really simple. I’ve been using their software for around nine months every single day of the week, and it’s been pretty decent. What I’ve observed by using the GSP 370 is the wireless range is pretty good too. I can walk anywhere in the house and the wireless works perfectly, no dropouts, no crackling, nothing. I literally didn’t have a problem at work through walls through closed doors and it’s a lot better than I expected. I literally walked almost like to the other side of our building and it only dropped out when I got to the door which is like 60 meters away through walls and bricks and everything.

These are a wireless pair of headphones, they operate on the 2.4 gigahertz spectrum, and they come included with a wireless USB receiver in the Box. Also, in the Box you get a 3.5-millimeter headphone cable which is 1.5 meters in length, and then a 2 meter braided micro USB cable for charging these headphones. As far as the battery life on this particular model, they claim you get about 12 hours of battery with the lighting turned off, and then you get about 8 hours of battery with a lighting turned on.

As far as the lighting you can control the lighting elements using the Logitech G-Hub software that is downloadable from the Logitech website. It’s up to you entirely, what sort of patterns or what sort of colors you want to put on the headphones on the lighting but you can turn it off, if you just want to get the maximum battery life out of these headphones. As far as charging, you can recharge these headphones quite quickly. It takes about fan hour to reach from zero to 100% from my test which is great but you can also recharge them and use them wireless at the same time.

This headphone weighs 349 grams which is definitely I guess the heaviest pair of headphones but by considering you’re getting RGB lighting, a rechargeable battery, 7.1 surround sound, 50-millimeter drivers, and built-in microphone it’s kind of hard to make any lighter without sacrificing the battery size which is then gonna make the battery life too short. Maybe future generations, maybe the next models will have better battery life and slightly lighter, maybe they could have used different ear cups.

The other cool thing about this particular headphone is if you want to use this wired, you can just go ahead and plug in the 3.5-millimeter audio cable to your console or your PC, they do work I guess cross-platform, so you don’t have to worry about if you’re using them on a PC or a Mac or an Xbox or a Playstation or a Switch or a mobile phone. They work well but obviously, if you don’t have a USB point for the receiver, you need to go ahead and use that 3.5-millimeter audio cable. I mean if the battery goes down it’s there for you anyway. 

MICROPHONE:

Sennheiser GSP 370

The microphone has a frequency response range of 10 Hz to 6300 Hz and it has unidirectional pickup pattern. As far as the performance of the microphone in this headphone, its pretty good. Definitely, its expectable for the price we pay for them, so its does its job pretty well. Compared to the Logitech G935, the microphone in the Sennheiser GSP 370 really works well and sounds good.

I wasn’t too impressed with the microphone, it was I guess for this price point just a little bit underwhelming, there wasn’t much body, it wasn’t very full, the sound didn’t feel like there was any attention to the lows, mids, and highs, it was just all one tone, sounded very much like I was on a cheaper headset. So, compared to the Logitech G Pro which had an awesome microphone, I guess I was expecting that same sort of standard at this particular price point. These are like their flagship headphone, so to have a microphone that was performing not that well like the G432 was quite disappointing really.

SOUND:

Sennheiser GSP 370

The GSP 370 sound almost as good as the GSP 670 so much so that both of these headsets are almost as good as each other, both making them some of the best sounding headsets. The actual point of this headset is to have a single job to sound good with everything they deliver. The sound is pumped to your ears via set of 40-millimeter drivers, the drivers have a frequency response of 20 Hertz to 20,000 Hertz. They are as wide as the GSP 670 but they do sound as punchy.

Logitech G935

The sound quality is the biggest thing for these headphones, its absolutely amazing. The 7.1 surround sound which is featuring the DTX 2.0 and then you can use the software and Logitech G you have to customize the EQ, and the sound profile. The 7.1 in my opinion like the G432, the 7.1 surround sound makes an absolutely just a game-changer because it helps you in hearing your enemy from all the way. The other cool thing is that it works with movies, so if you’ve got movies that have surround sound built into them, you can actually have these headphones on for quite an enjoyable movie or entertainment experience.

WHICH TO BUY?

If you’re going to want something Wireless with surround sound, rechargeable, and RGB then the Logitech G935 is absolutely awesome headphone for a lower price than the SEnnheiser GSP 370. If you’re going to use them for competitive gaming, long gaming sessions, and to talk with your friends or doing Skype calls or whatever it might be the microphone is a bit of a letdown. So, in that case or if microphone quality is really very important for you then you can go for the Sennheiser GSP 370.
